We are celebrating Nelson Mandela Day by announcing a special website package for registered Non-profit organisations. We spent our 67 minutes investigating ways in which we can use our love for the internet to help NPOs use the medium to be more effective at achieving their goals.

The end result is our NPO package which enables qualifying organisations to reach a greater audience, take online donations, engage members, donors and the general public and more. NPOs can expect the same service that our corporate clients get, at a significantly reduced rate with some special features aimed specifically at their needs.

www.colourside.co.za

The NPO package will include hosting, domain registration, unlimited bandwidth & up to 50 email addresses. It also includes technical support and 30 minutes update time every month.  It’s SEO and social medial friendly to help you build up followers and raise awareness. Our NPO package also enables organisations to take online donations and blog about latest happenings.

For more information click here, or if you are interested in this package or know someone who might be click here.

If you think this may be useful, please consider taking a minute to share this post so that ultimately, we can help more NPOs make a bigger impact on their beneficiaries.

Blog

www.colourside.co.zaWe’ve had a couple of enquiries for a Blog only package and we’re happy to announce that it’s finally here.

What is a Blog?

In a nutschell, a blog is a small website where you can write about anything that interests you on an ongoing basis. It is whatever you want it to be , a diary, a collection of ideas or photos or simply just a place you can share your experiences with the rest of the world. If you want to read more about our Blog offering click here »

E-commerce

www.colourside.co.zaAlso known as the Merchant package, this service is a turn-key solution that enables you to start selling online with minimal technical knowledge on your part. We take care of the platform so that you can focus on selling your products.

What is E-commerce ?

E-commerce is the buying and selling of products and services by businesses and consumers over the Internet. The benefit of having an online shop is to make it easier for your customer to buy the desired product and to eliminate the cost of having a physical store. You can also attract a wider audience and compete with larger businesses by being open 24 hours a day, seven days a week with no extra cost to you. Graphic design

www.theconceptfactory.co.zaIn the time that we’ve been in business we’ve find that one question that always comes up sooner or later is “Can you design my logo? or “Can you design my business card?”

YES WE CAN and would love to be involved in branding your company.

We work very closely with our sister company, The Concept Factory, which specialises in branding and has some of the best designers around. We guarantee 100% satisfaction.

Photography

Stock photography is incredibly useful for breathing life into a website, but there are some cases where stock photography just doens’t cut it or where your brand could better be communicated through custom photography.

Colourside can help take your website to the next level by providing quality photographers that can assist you with product and staff photos. If you are interested click here »

We’d love to be involved helping you take your business to the next level. If you have any questions about any of our packages, or if you’d like us to advise you on which package would best suit your needs, please contact us.

Monday blues: Getting out of your rut.

Last week this time my week started off with this this pretty screensaver, as some of you already know…

I thought I’d share some tips and ideas of how you can get rid of the Monday blues or get out of the rut you may find yourself in. We all have our moments when computers fail us or we just can’t seem to get the creative juices going. The important thing is to not give up and not freak out, it will be ok.

For some of us, the key to getting out of our comatose state is simply to get up, moved past our failures and embrace change. If you are sitting around waiting for the ideal circumstances or for the sun, moon and stars to align, nothing is ever going to happen or get done. Rather look for ways to apply yourself; be on the lookout for opportunities to grow and start creating the right atmosphere and conditions to be productive instead of waiting for them.

You’ll find that once you have started doing something you love it creates a sort of momentum that just pushes you forward. We all know the saying ‘success breeds success’ all too well, so start with something small; invest in doing what you love.
The word responsibility means ADMIN and a lot of it. Yes, I hate it but I have to face it.

The best way to tackle all those things you don’t like is to stop procrastinating. Schedule a time and go sit in a quiet corner with a cup of coffee or pack of nibbles and just do it, go for your badge. I make a deal with myself that for every 15 minutes that pass I can get up and stretch my legs. It’s silly but works for me.

Even the best jobs require us to do things we don’t like. Maybe you even flat out don’t like your job. It is important to invest time doing the things that makes you tick & tickle. Sometimes we have to suck it up and do what we don’t want to now so that we can do what we love later. VISION is important, have a plan to move forward and work towards your strengths and never stop dreaming big!

Other useful tips to help snap out of the blues:

  • Drink enough water and always keep hydrated. Avoid overwhelming your body with a whole lot of water. It’s much more effective to just continuously have a little bit of water every few minutes.
  • Exercise is another word for anger management for me and it’s the best therapist I can afford 🙂
  • Eat healthy! I found this awesome article about important brain food – Eat Smart for a Healthier Brain – and since then I’ve been juicing and making sure I put the good stuff in to get the performance I need during a working day.
  • If you are not happy, make some changes! This is not always as simple as it sounds but start by making small changes like reading for 10 min on a topic that is relevant to your challenges in life. Most often, the gap between where you are and where you want to be comes down to what you don’t know.
  • Take a breather. Yes I am all for working hard but sometimes you need to make time for yourself and just breathe. I like doing Yoga, Pilates and sometimes just sitting in the warm winter sun for 5 min at the office to recharge.
  • Talk to a friend and share the load, it always helps.
  • Do something new that inspires you or exposes you to something different that will help you grow. It’s not always good to get stuck in a comfort zone because it usually prevents you from doing something that will challenge you.
  • Spend time with successful and positive people, they will stretch and encourage you.
  • Have creative brainstorming sessions with your team, colleagues or friends.
  • Lastly, get a good night’s rest. Nothing can substitute this and its effect is invaluable.

These are just some tips I use to help motivate myself. If you have any tips you want to share please comment below. Share the love this Monday and help us motivate the blues away!

For the Love of Water

Why did we decide to blog about water?
We have recently moved into new offices and decided to go on a search for a new drinking water dispenser. We got one of those top bottle solutions and it worked pretty well aside from ordering our water, changing the empty bottles and finding a place to store the stuff.

www.waterboys.biz

We met a company called Waterboys for a website and they introduced us to the process of reverse osmosis and even better a beautiful reverse osmosis water dispenser for the office.  We really wanted to share this with our readers because we like sharing ideas and solutions that makes life easier.

www.waterboys.biz

Our new reverse osmosis hot & cold water dispenser.

www.waterboys.biz

What is reverse osmosis?
Reverse osmosis (RO) is a separation process that employs pressure to force water through a membrane that retains the solute on one side and allows pure water to pass to the other side.

Reverse osmosis has become the water purification method of choice for drinking water as it employs the most advanced technology of water purification in the world.  The membrane film contains pore sizes of 0,0001 micron which filter out all parasites, bacteria and viruses.  It also effectively removes toxic heavy metals and pesticides, organic pollution, endocrine disruptors and much more.

How does it compare to bottled water?

It is cost effective
Bottled water prices are at a premium because the industry has to cover the costs of branding, packaging, marketing and transport.

It is lower maintenance
The reverse osmosis filtration systems are directly connected to your water supply this means I simply have to switch the tap on for pure perfect drinking water. No shops, no storage headaches and no admin.

Smaller carbon footprint
Ever thought of the environmental impact of the empty plastic and glass bottles?
Did you know that the plastic for bottled water requires up to 47 million gallons of oil per year to produce?

Cleaner water
Most people who buy bottled water are often under the impression that they’re purchasing water that is pure.  This is not always true, most bottled water has been treated.
Thanks to Waterboys we signed up for an admin free solution that delivers pure perfect drinking water for less than what we paid for before.

You can read more about Waterboys and their offerings on their new website www.waterboys.biz
Don’t forget to let us know what you think about their website…
